I’ve made variations of this banana recipe so many times and I keep coming back to it because it’s just the best! It’s moist, fragrant, has just the right sweetness.
I usually add walnuts into my banana bread but I decided to mix it up and go with choc chips because a bit of chocolate always makes things better. If you want a no-frills, fool-proof vegan banana bread recipe, then give this one a go!

Ingredients
- Dry:
- 2 cups of self-raising flour
- 2/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 ℃/ 325 ℉ and line a baking tin with non-stick paper
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients
- 3. In a blender, blend together the wet ingredients
- 4. Add the wet mixture to the dry and fold until a thick batter is formed.
- 5. Transfer the batter to the lined tin and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean
- 6. Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing
