Ingredients
- BASE:
- ✅ 2 x your favourite chocolate nut/date based protein bar or ball ( I used @purabon choc hazelnut ball)
- FILLING:
- ✅1 1/2 cups roasted hazelnuts
- ✅1/4 cup vegan choc protein (I used @macr0mike Hazelnut fondant )
- ✅2 tablesoons cocoa powder
- ✅2 tablesoons vegan hazelnut spread ( I used @99th_monkey )
- ✅ 1 cup dates, pitted & soaked
- ✅ 2 tablespoons water + more if required
- TOPPING:
- ✅ Handful of roasted hazelnuts, crushed
Instructions
- 1. Line a container with non-stick paper. My container was about 10 x 15cm.
- 2. Microwave the protein ball for 15-20 seconds to soften. Then press it evenly in the lines tin to form the base
- 3. In a food processor, briefly process the hazelnut until fine crumbs, then add the protein powder & cocoa powder until mixed
- 4. Add in the hazelnut spread, dates and water and process until the mixture clumps together. You may need to add a dash more water until it sticks.
- 5. Transfer the mixture to the lined container and put into the freezer for 30 mins
- 6. Melt the chocolate for the topping and pour it over the slice evenly. Decorate with extra toppings if desired.
- 7. Return to the freezer until the chocolate is set.
