I’ve made this banana recipe so many times and I keep coming back to it because it’s just the best! It’s moist, fragrant, has just the right sweetness. My favourite thing to add to banana bread is definitely walnuts so I just HAD to add them in! But if you want, you can omit them or substitute it for something else like berries or choc chips!

*Storage tips: in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, in the fridge for 5 days or in the freezer for 1 month
Ingredients
- Dry:
- 2 cups of self-raising flour
- 2/3 cup of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- ½ cup chopped walnuts (can omit or replace with something else)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 ℃/ 325 ℉ and line a baking tin with non-stick paper
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients
- 3. In a blender, blend together the wet ingredients
- 4. Add the wet mixture to the dry and fold until a thick batter is formed.
- 5. Transfer the batter to the lined tin and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean
- 6. Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing
