LOADED CHOC CARAMEL PROTEIN SMOOTHIE BOWL

This healthy, high protein smoothie bowl is another favourite of mine. It’s basically a dessert in a bowl. I added in frozen cauliflower for extra volume and nutrition. The maca powder adds extra earthy caramel notes as well as health benefits too.  I like to enjoy this bowl after a sweaty workout as its cold but leaves me nourished and feeling great!

Here is the recipe:

LOADED CHOC CARAMEL PROTEIN SMOOTHIE BOWL 
INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 x frozen ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup frozen cauliflower 
  • 1/4 cup almond milk 
  • 1 teaspoon of maca powder 
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of cacao powder 
  • 1 scoop vegan caramel protein powder ( I used @macr0mike salted caramel ) 
  • *Optional: 1-2 dates
METHOD:
  1. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth, thick and creamy.
  2. Transfer into a bowl and top using your fave toppings! 
My toppings included: @blissfitfoods choc hazelnut granola , @pana_organic choc & salted caramel icecream, @macr0mike salted caramel PB sauce, @hearusraw choc coconut bliss ball & strawberries
